Salt water pitting and corrosion removal

I am hoping to remove rather than replate, low to medium degree pitting and green corrosion on chrome plated bronze and brass hardware. Besides Flitz and Nevrdull, do any subscribers have DIY tricks, home remedies, chemicals, proven tool or hand processes to tackle this issue? I’ll speak with a local metal fabricator tomorrow and have access to plating
resources but hope to DIY this.
Thanks

Yup, definitely homemade, on advice from my chrome guy…lemon juice. Soak it for about 20 minutes. Maybe even start at 10 so you seewhat happens. The acid with take away the green, and work on the pitting. Don’t leave it in too long, it will start to take away the chrome!

Thanks Ron in Seattle – are you recommending full strength or some level of dilution?
