I’m finishing up the restoration of a 1940 Chris Craft 16’ Special Race Boat.
What I’m trying to determine is the correct idle location and direction of travel for the steering wheel throttle control. I’ve read a lot of different locations and direction it should travel for increasing speed.
I have messed with that as well. I dont know, sorry . But will watch this for sure. Not much help of course.
The throttle lever should be straight up and down at idle and more throttle should rotate down to starboard. I think this is what you need to know.

Thanks Mike. Just what I needed to know. That is what I figured but I had seen some discussion that was just the opposite.
Thanks Mike, I too was confused. THANKYOU!
