Hello out there, I am looking for windshield gasket material for the above boat. It has a 1/4 x 3/8 inch channel with a 7/8 inch flange coming off the top of one side. The profile looks a bit like a ladle. If anyone has a source, I would really appreciate it. I was told California Classic Boats use to have it, but I am unable to connect with the new owners.
Thanks,
Hi Brad, Howe Marine in Mich got all of the California Classics inventory. Also Dave at Classic boat Connection may have it, and can you restore what you have?
Thanks Matt, I will call Howe Marine today. I did speak with Dave and he did not have the profile I need. I have never restored rubber gasket material, I have always been able to source replacements. My gaskets are still serviceable, but they are not as flexible as they should be, and I expect they will begin to get brittle and crack over time and with exposure. Are you aware of a product I could apply to them that might help?
Yes, but Bob Murdock owns it, and may know. There has to be some sort of work around, this is a common thing, Take an image of the edge of yours as a shape. Google image search it. On Google, in your search bar there is a small icon that looks like a mike and a little camera, click on that and upload the image. It scouers the internet to find it in other places.

Also you may??? want it in white? Not sure, but if you find it in Black, you are half way there, cause you will know what its called. You can always paint it with Vynal upolstry paint? A kinda work around. OR, find something close and cut it to shape. But my guess is its out there. Just may be now made for something else
I tried to send this last week, but the site said I had not been a member long enough to post two images??? Anyway, trying again with only one image. Sorry for the delay, and thanks for attempting to help me with this search.
SO, I took the image and cleaned up the edge so you have a shape to reference. I found a place https://www.steelerubber.com/ not sure if they will have it, BUT they may have a work around. Or know what its called to look up. I tried the google image search thing and that didnt help
