# Barrel Back Windshield Rubber Bumper

On a 1941 Chris-Craft Barrel Back the windshield when folded down would rest on some sort of rubber bumpers and be secured with the thumb screw clips. Any idea what these rubber bumpers looked like and if there is a source for these?

You may try a place that sells Jeeps. Many of the windshields fold down.

Tom, I am not an expert, my only experience comes from my 20’ CC Custom that has the same fold down windshield, yours is 19” and mine is 21 inches wide. That said, both my friend and I used (not to gross you out) small white round toilet seat bumpers, with the screw in the middle. Look and work great!

Years ago I made a couple out of black rubber which worked well. At one judged show, however, I received a deduction as they were not period correct so I’m trying to figure out what would be period correct. I admit it does sound somewhat silly for a rubber bumper.

Yup! Toilet seat parts. Did them on my 41 19 barrel
